USP3 Sweeps Weekend

Game 1 vs. New York Apple Core (EHL Elite) 4-3 WIN

Whalers USP3 took the 4-3 win over NY Apple Core in game one of the weekend. Goals from Charles DuBose, Collin Markoski, Matthew Hanchon, and Ryan Lorenz. Jackson Miller with he win in net with 18 saves. The Whalers held a 39-21 shot advantage.

Game 2 vs. Metro Fighting Moose (NA3AHL) 5-3 WIN

Whalers USP3 team improved to 2-0 on the weekend with a 5-3 win over the Metro Moose of the NA3AHL in game 2. Goals from Matthew Hanchon (2), Adam Campbell, Cody Wilson, and Gary Eastlack. Everett Yasinski with the win in net with 19 saves. The Whalers held a 31-22 shot advantage.

Game 3 vs. Central Penn Panthers (NA3AHL) 4-0 WIN

Whalers USP3 capped off a perfect 3-0 weekend with a dominating 4-0 win over the Central Penn Panthers of the NA3AHL in game 3. Goals from Matthew Hanchon (2), Gary Eastlack, and Jordan Shannon. Jason Horn with the 18 save shutout in goal. The Whalers held a dominate 49-18 shot advantage, while converting twice on the power play and once shorthanded.

Elite Take 2 of 3

Game 1 vs. Philadelphia Revolution (EHL Premier) 5-3 Loss

Elite droped a hard fought contest to the Philadelphia Revoltuion in game 1 by a score of 5-3. Goals from Roman Gaudet (2) and John Moncovich. Zach Alvarado took the loss in net.

Game 2 vs. Long Island Royals (NA3AHL) 6-0 WIN

Whalers Elite took a 6-0 win, in dominating fashion over the Long Island Royals in game two to even their weekend record to 1-1-0. Goals from Roman Gaudet (2), John Moncovich, Zach Zalar, John Horn, & Brandon Osmundson. Nathan Cleghorn with the shutout win in net. The Whalers outshot Long Island 50-6.

Game 3 vs. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (EHL Premier) 4-1 WIN

The Whalers Elite skated away with a 4-1 win over the Jr Flyers EHL Premier team in game 3 in their best all around game of the weekend to finish the weekend 2-1-0. Goals from John Moncovich (2), Brandon Osmundson, and Vaden McManus. Zach Alvarado and Nathan Cleghorn split the victory in goal. The Whalers held a 40-20 shot advantage.

What’s on Tap?

The Whalers will return home this weekend to play in two more pre-season games against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers before opening the season September 17th against the Potomac Patriots at home.
